Antioxidants Promote Cellular LongevityDr Yibing Wang, is the Director of Research and Development at New Vision ( Vemma's parent company), and he explains in an article, what he means by saying "Antioxidants Promote Cellular Longevity". This is Dr Wang's article..."Oxidation can damage our bodies' cells and may contribute to the aging process, just as rust does on a car. Invading, damaging cells called free radicals cause oxidation to happen. Over-exercise, stress, being exposed to dirty air and other environmental pollutants result in free radicals ( unstable oxygen molecules) getting into our bodies. Antioxidants help prevent the Oxidation process by counteracting the Free Radicals. To do this, the antioxidants bind to the free radicals and transform them into non-damaging compounds. So, the Support of the body's natural defense system is integral to Antioxidants. So, what about the claim that "Antioxidants Promote Cellular Longevity"? Here are some definitions: - Promote means the progress of something in a positive way. - Cellular, in relation to the body, means of, relating to, or consisting of cells. A cell is the smallest structural unit in the body capable of functioning independently. - Longevity means a long duration of individual life. Dr Wang concludes that "Antioxidants, because of their free radical scavenging capabilities, have the ability to promote the longevity of individual cells and when individual cells in the body are supported in a positive way, the body as a whole becomes supported. This in turn contributes to the potential for overall well-being and vitality in the long term.*" Therefore, Antioxidants are a crucial part of any serious Nutrition Program and Independent Laboratory tests confirm that Vemma is the most powerful liquid antioxidant available anywhere!"
