Dr Yibing Wang, is the Director of Research and Development at New Vision ( Vemma's parent company), and he explains in an article, what he means by saying "Antioxidants Promote Cellular Longevity". This is Dr Wang's article...

"Oxidation can damage our bodies' cells and may contribute to the aging process, just as rust does on a car. Invading, damaging cells called free radicals cause oxidation to happen. Over-exercise, stress, being exposed to dirty air and other environmental pollutants result in free radicals ( unstable oxygen molecules) getting into our bodies.

Antioxidants help prevent the Oxidation process by counteracting the Free Radicals. To do this, the antioxidants bind to the free radicals and transform them into non-damaging compounds. So, the Support of the body's natural defense system is integral to Antioxidants.
